AN ANALYSIS OF INVESTMENT ACTIVITY IN KHMELNYTSKYI REGION AND WAYS OF ITS INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS IMPROVEMENT

The article “An analysis of investment activity in Khmelnytskyi region and ways of its investment attractiveness improvement” is dedicated to analysis of current investment activity tendencies in Khmelnytskyi region, its investment attractiveness level and possible ways of its improvement. The actuality of the topic of research is caused by the fact, that the investments into the country’s economy are the key way to stability of its economic and social development. The prerequisite of successful investment inflow into country’s economy is in creation of conducive investment climate, which also guarantees the high level of investment attractiveness of this country. In the same time the investment attractiveness of different sectors of economy or different regions can be quite another. It should be considered while realizing structure and regional policy, as well as while investment priorities defining. But in current economic conditions the level of Ukrainian regions investment attractiveness will change under the influence of objective economic and political factors. This creates the opportunity of potential investors’ attention attraction for those regions, which could not be called as leaders of investment ratings before. Howsoever it can be realized only providing that the investment climate and investment attractiveness to regions improves. Taking into consideration all mentioned above, the aim of the article is to research the investment activity in Khmelnytskyi region, regional investment advantages and to make proposals on investment activity stimulation. To achieve this aim we have used the analytical research methods and statistic data on national and foreign investments into Khmelnytskyi region’s economy, as well as rating assessments of investment attractiveness of the region. The article contains an analysis of capital investments amounts in Khmelnytskyi region during 2012-2014, the dynamics of foreign investments into economy of the region, and also the main directions of investing in the region. As a result, he main factors have been defined t, which facilitate and barrier investment activity in the region, and some ways of improvement of its investment attractiveness.
