Abstract

Analyzed the results of treatment of 672 patients with a diagnosis of "acute destructive pancreatitis" to assess the effectiveness of octreotide influence on mortality. To do this, along with the one-dimensional statistical analysis methods were used multivariate statistics, which allowed us to estimate the cumulative effect of octreotide. Determined that the appointment of octreotide in the medical complex in patients with necrotizing pancreatitis, the most effective in the severity of the condition when you receive 9 points or more on a scale APACHE-II, and contributes to the significant decrease in mortality from 72 to 52%. When the severity of patients less than 8 points on the scale APACHE-II, such an effect is not revealed.
