Abstract
The article describes a study of clinico-pathological and neurophysiological features of diphtheria polyneuropathy (Dippn). All observed patients underwent a clinical neurological, neurophysiological and biochemical studies. In patients with Dippn disease process predominates in the lower extremities. It is noted the presence of moderate oxidative stress and equilibrium of lipid peroxidation (LPO) and antioxidant system (AOS). When conducting expansionary ENG in patients with diphtheritic polyneuropathy revealed an isolated decrease in the amplitude of Mresponse in the study of peroneal and tibial nerves, which confirms axonal injury and poor prognosis.
