Abstract
The article is devoted to revealing features pronounced seasonal words in the poetry of Matsuo Basho. The Japanese art of haiku ? an expression much to the few, the ability to wake up in the reader’s imagination and lyrical excitement. Seasonal words in haiku are clearly demonstrate a special sensitivity of the Japanese to nature, to the times of the year. A deep interest in the seasons has had an enormous impact on the entire life of the Japanese people, to annual events, holidays and literature. All human feelings and attitudes ? rmly fused with poetry of Matsuo Basho and nature. Therefore, the seasonal word occupy a special place in haiku, they re? ect the poet’s immersion in nature
