Abstract

Influence of pH aqueous medium extraction on phenolic content, flavonoid content, proanthocyanidins, phytochemical composition, antioxidant activities of leaves extract from Phoenix dactylifera L was investigated. It was observed that extraction yield increased at weak acidic condition (value of pH between 2 and 3), and the pH effects on the composition extraction process were illustrated. For the low value of pH, the yield extraction increase, similar phenomena for the antioxidant activity and concentration of individual phenolic compounds obtained by HPLC, but the phenolic content decrease. For the high value of pH, the yield extraction decrease, the low antioxidant activity and concentration of individual phenolic compounds obtained by HPLC, but the phenolic content increase. The optimum pH value of medium extraction solvent it is 2. http://jprsolutions.info/current_issue.php
