Girişimcilerde Bulunması Gereken Özellikler İle Girişimcilik Eğitimi:Girişimci ve Öğrenci Görüşleri

The aim of this study is to determine entrepreneurs and university students’ opinions about what should be the characteristics of entrepreneurs and what should be the education of entrepreneurship at university. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 58 entrepreneurs. Afterwards, entrepreneurs’ opinions and suggestions were asked to 125 students through the questionnaire and tried to determine whether the students agreed entrepreneurs’ opinions and suggestions. Findings demonstrate that first 4 characteristics (confidence, honesty, risk taking, innovate thinking), which entrepreneurs emphasize, is among first 5 characteristics considered important by students. However, being social characteristic, which entrepreneurs consider important, was not included first 5 characteristics by students. In fact, students reported this characteristic in the latest. Entrepreneurs report suggestion about entrepreneurship course respectively; “practical rather than theory, entrepreneur invitation to courses, encouraging students and gaining entrepreneurial characteristics”. By agreeing mostly on these opinions, students pay more attention to the adequacy of academician, the education of gaining entrepreneurial characteristics, possibility of concentration areas of interest, successful entrepreneurs invitation to courses and studies for applied projects.
