Importance of Sports in Preventing Aggressive Behavior Among Young People

Abstract
It is known that aggressive behavior among youth has increased in recent years. There are many factors that contribute to the increasein aggressive behavior among youth. Primary factors among these are environmental factors, social structure, domestic factors, harmful habits, substance abuse, social circle, negative effects of technologic developments and some psychological problems. Due to the increase in aggressive behavior among youth, it has become necessary to take some measures in order to minimalize aggressive behavior. One of the effective factors in decreasing aggressive behavior in youth is sports. Conducted research shows that participation in sports activities supports decreasing aggressive behavior in youth. This research focuses on the advantages of sports in preventing aggressive behavior in youth. Findings of research conducted in the light of relevant literature are evaluated within the scope of this research.
