Views of Students on the Applications of Web-Based Learning Approach

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feelings and thoughts of students about a web-based, circle-approach to learning about the subject of motion in Physics lessons. Study was carried out on 25 students by qualitative research method in the fall semester of 2009-2010 academic year at 85. Yıl Milli Egemenlik Anatolian High School which is located within the centrum of Diyarbakır. As a means of collecting data, interview forms with open ended questions were used which were depeloped by the researchers so that students could express their opinions about Web Based Learning Circle. According to the research results, in general, all the activities used during the lesson and teaching-learning environment were found useful by the students however, most of the students refered to the university entrance exams as “the exam which determines the rest of our lives” students stated that to prepare for this exam, having Phsysics lessons with Web-based, Learning Circle Approach was not helpful for them. In the light of the findings obtained, suggestions have been made.
