The sample was 104 eight grade students. The instruments of the study were Scientific Epistemological Beliefs Questionnaire and conceptual test, prepared by PISA questions. The result of the study demonstrated that students’ scores on conceptual understanding and SEB are moderate level. There is no significant relationship between students’ SEB and their conceptual understanding. However, there is a significant relationship between students’ some dimensions of SEB and some PISA questions. Also, there is no statistically significant difference between students SEB and their gender. However, boys, except justifiation dimension, have higher score than girls on other SEB.
