Abstract
A new steel pipe sheet pile composite foundation method called “Hyper - Well SP” was developed for application to a large - scale bridge. The structural char - acteristics and workability of the new method were veri - fied in various experiments, and a design me thod was established. “Hyper - Well SP,” which features high rigid - ity. Workability equal to that of conventional sheet pipe sheet piles was confirmed in the construction of this actual foundation. Based on the results of the above - mentioned study, a new fo undation method for large bridges, completing the development of this technology
