Abstract
Resume. Meningioma brain are the mostly benign tumors, but in some cases they may recur and detect unpredictably course, despite their benign histological structure. Using immunohistochemical method study we analyzed the expression of MMP-9 and VEGF in samples of benign and malignant meningiomas removed during neurosurgical operations in 36 patients. The study found that anaplastic meningiomas are characterized by significantly higher levels of expression of MMP-9 and VEGF, than benign, while the expression of MMP-9 is associated with recurrent tumors. Using correlation analysis, it was found that between MMP-9 and VEGF are significant direct links that point to the interaction of these factors in a meningioma neoanhiohenezu
