METHOD OF DIAGNOSING MACULAR EDEMA AND ITS TYPES IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract
The aim of our study was to assess the effects of vitamin D supplementation on lipid profile in patients with arterial hypertension (AH). Material and methods. A randomized, prospective, cohort, single-center study of 115 individuals with stage II AH (50.9±7.3 years) was performed. The duration of the follow-up was 15,8±1,8 months. 43 individuals did not receive cholecalciferol, 72 received cholecalciferol at the daily dose of 2000 IU from 3 to 12 months. By means of regression analysis we determined that intake of cholecalciferol and stably high level of serum 25(ОН)D were positively correlated (p<0,05) with increased level of HDL, Apo A1, as well as with the dynamics of these values and negatively correlated (p<0,05) with the levels of TC, AI, Apo B, Apo B/Apo A1. Thus, intake of cholecalciferol and stably high level of serum 25(ОН)D have a positive effect on lipid profile in patients with AH.
