Multi-set Based Flash Memory Cleaning and Study of Wear Leveling

In this paper, a new recycling method for flash memory based on search space partitioning is proposed. At the same time, a method for memory space allocation is proposed for even wearing over the total memory space. This will provides a way to resolve the problem caused by limited number of erasures over flash memory. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed multi-set based method outperforms the existing methods in cost and performance. In addition, the experimental results show that the memory allocation method affects even wearing in great deal.
