Abstract

The amount of organic matter of Tarasçı formation ranges from 0,28% - 0,62 (0.38% on average). Organic matter type is terrestrial origin and is Type III kerogen. The amount of Ca, Zr, Sr, Rb, U and Co elements in samples relating to Tarasçı Formation is richer than that of the sediments basins owner anoxic and euxinic conditions. The correlation of Al with such as Ti, K, Mg, Rb, Zr and Si elements is very strong, these datas are indicated that the elements come from a source homogeneous detrital. The deposition conditions of Tarasçı formation are oxic according to Ni / Co and V / Cr ratios and anoxic according to (V + Ni) and U / Th ratios. It is determined that samples of belonging to Tarasçı formation are falled into (landed) the area of the island arc in K2O/Na2O-SiO2 diagram and most of samples are fall into the range active continental margin in SiO2/Al2O3- K2O/Na2O diagram. It is shown that all except one samples of rock have basic composition in K2O-Rb chart and all except one sample fall into the basaltic field are derived from basalt + granite and granite + basalt rocks in TiO2 - Al2O3 chart.
