Relationship Between Students’ Performance and Class Attendance in a Programming Language Subject in a Computer Course

Abstract
In this paper the correlation between class attendance and performance has been analyzed to identify whether attendance is a factor which affects the students’ performance in a computers related subject. The data for analysis was taken from two classes of undergraduate students of Computer Application Course at a college in New Delhi India. The correlation was found using Pearson correlation coefficient. The result showed that there is significant positive correlation between the students’ performance and their attendance.
