The research is aimed at determining the quality of foam plastic for automobile cushions in order that it can be employed as the basic of decoding quality standard in the framework of ensuring the quality and application. Samples are taken from the manufacturers and markets. The physical tests are carried ?out in accordance with the methods as stated in ASTM, JIS, GM and SNI, and the data obtained can be presented as following : density (37.1 ? 54.9) kg/m3; hardness Æ 200 mm, 25% (13.0 ? 57.6); ball rebound resilience (41 ? 63)% , tegangan putus (0,53 ? 1,03) kg/cm2, perpanjangan putus (62,83 ? 112,5)%, ketahanan sobek (0,37 ? 0,76)kg/cm2 dan compression set (4.13 ? 11.65) %.
