Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the influence of calcium carbonate as filler of the physical properties tensile strength and elongation at break rubber sole for canvas shoes. Rubber sole compound is made from natural rubber and addition of ingredient such as : filler, anti oxidant, accelerator, softener, activator and vulcanizing agent. It should be carried out using base formula by variying calcium carbonate 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 and 90 part. Statistically prove that calcium carbonate influenced physical properties of the result test. The application calcium carbonate 65 ? 80 part will give the best compound with the tensile strength 13,93 N/mm2 and elongation at break 424,77%, fulfilled the specification of SII 1406 ? 85 “Sepatu kanvas untuk olah raga”.
