Abstract
The influence of carnitine on the activity of lysosomal enzymes in hyperthyroidism caused by L- thyroxin in dose 50mkg/kg was experimentally studied. It was found that administration of L-thyroxin leads to increasing of thyroid hormones level, creatincinasa MB activity in blood and lysosomal enzymes activity in myocardium and skeleton muscles. Treating with carnitine in dose 25 mg/kg normalizes the activity of enzymes, however does not influence on thyroid hormones level. Thus it can be supposed, that cardio protective effect of carnitine does not correlate with straight action on thyroid hormones, and it proves membrane-stabilizing effect of carnitine.
