A Study of Attitude of the Secondary School Teachers Towards the use of Information Technology in Regard to their Experience and Gender

Abstract
The present study has been conducted to study the attitude of the secondary school teachers towards the use of information technology. For the study Attitude scale towards Information Technology for teachers developed by Dr. (Mrs.) Nasrin and Dr. (Mrs.) Fatima Islahi is used as a tool. A random sample of 60 teachers has been taken out of which 30 are more experienced teachers having the teaching experience of more than 15 years including 15 male teachers and 15 female teachers. While remaining 30 are less experienced teachers with an experience less than 15 years including 15 males and 15 female teachers.
âtâ value is calculated for comparing data of two groups formed on the basis of their experience and their gender. The study is conducted to put light on the need of developing positive attitude among teachers towards information technology as the knowledge of information technology is the demand of today.
