Abstract
The effect of benzyl adenine on growth, yield and flowers of gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii) was studied BA (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 ppm). This study was arranged in complete randomized block design (R.B.D.) with three replicates at the farm and the labor atory of Horticulture department, Allahabad School of Agriculture, SHIATS, Allahabad during October to June 2013. The result indicated that, maximum yield and quality parameters (number of flowers per plant, stalk length, neck diameter and stalk diameter) and number of suckers per plant were observed with treatment of BA at 200 ppm (T5). While, days to first harvest and leaf area index were noticed in 250 ppm BA (T6), and maximum leaf area (dsm2) was recorded by BA at 50 ppm (T2)
