GAZİANTEP EMNİYET MÜDÜRLÜĞÜ ÇEVİK KUVVET AMİRLİĞİNDE GÖREVLİ POLİSLERİN BOŞ ZAMANLARINI DEĞERLENDİRME ALIŞKANLIKLARI

This study was prepared to determine the spending free time habits of the police officers working at the Riot Forces department of Directorate of Gaziantep Police. 7 female and 152 male police officers working at the Riot Forces department in Gaziantep participated to this research. For the study, all the surveys were applied with the allowance of Gaziantep Police Directorate by thesearchers. In the first part of this study, the descriptive qualifications was investigated and in the second part, what spare time activities are preferred and the reasons of the preferences were investigated. In addition, the scale including the questions for the reasons of not joining the spare time activites and the effects of these activities was used. For this study, spending free time scale whose validity and reliability was worked by Bekdemir (2011) was used. The SPSS programme was used to analyse all the data which was collected and results found. While evaluating the survey, the descriptive statistics and hypothesis test results were used. As a consequence of this study, it is aimed to provide the police officers working at the Riot Forces department how to spend their free time in the most effective way. It is also aimed to make a contribution to success in their bussiness life and social life.
