Results of pharmacognosic investigation of Herniaria herb

On the basis of study and systematization of literary data that concern botanic, taxonomic and chemical characteristics and the proper pharmacognostic investigation, for the herbs Herniaria hirsute L., H. Besseri Fisch.(H. incana Lam.) and H. polygama J.Gay., the authors have proposed the diagnostic macro- and microscopic signs and qualitative assays that can be used at the elaboration and addition of the reference documentation for these species as independent medicinal herbal raw materials and for mutual distinction of different species of ruptureworts (herniarys) used in medicine.
