Abstract
A new watermarking method on the basis of Singular Value Decomposition is proposed in this paper. The method is blind and modifies one of the orthonormal matrices of the decomposition of 4x4 block to enclose a bit of a watermark. A procedure for minimization of embedding distortions is considered. Two embedding rules have been proposed for watermarking which provide different robustness and transparency. Popular attacks have been applied and experimental results have been illustrated. According to the results the robustness of the proposed watermarking method toward some attacks is more than 36% better compared to other known blind watermarking methods.
