Abstract
Recently, great advances of Information Technology (IT) and IT industry have increased the demand for rapid and diverse statistical information. However, existing data gathering method for road repair and maintenance Information via manual, paper and e-mail had lowered speed of the aggregate, and the media for information management and provide was limited to files and books in Korea. So, road repair and maintenance information had not been utilized for road management and operation effectively. To solve these problems, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTM) in Korea is developing an information system for road repair and maintenance information to gather the data rapidly and timely and to support a policy decision reasonably and scientifically. In this paper, we suggested developing and computerization method of web-based e-Government system by improvement of the information management about road repair and maintenance information.
