Abstract
The article deals with the genesis of penal legislation in Russia concerning crimes committed in a state of alcoholic intoxication in XX-XXI centuries. Based on the criminological, social and legal analyses of anti-alcohol policy the authors suggest that in the beginning of XXI century alcoholic situation in Russia is characterized by increase in the issue urgency and further expansion of alcohol-related crimes.
