Abstract
The objective of e-learning is to provide a convenient and efficient learning environment anytime and anywhere. Currently, since users, e-learning resources and learning services in Internet have increased trend, the management, the providing and the saving of e-learning resources become a new e-learning research issues. Hence, this paper proposes a cloud personalized learning environments, which refers to Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM)-compatible LMS to design software as a service (SaaS) for cloud learning environments based on Google App Engine (GAE). To strengthen the personalized learning in cloud environments, this paper adopts genetic algorithm (GA) to develop personalized recommendation mechanism for the personalized learning SaaS. The proposed mechanism can provide suggestions for the users to find appropriate e-learning resources in accordance with her/his demands.
