Abstract
The article analyzes the issues of Pisemskiy’s world outlook in reference to his personal distinctiveness and manifested in his specific artistic method ? realism of views. While defining the genre of Pisemskiy’s work as a light variant of an anti-nihilistic novel, the author of the article addresses to the central personages in order to find out WHAT exactly Pisemskiy sets against the vortex of Russian post-reform life.
