Abstract
The author aspires to reveal Milyentievna's spiritual nature designating her as a type of the national character. Making axiological analysis of the protagonist’s character, the author comes to a conclusion that humility is her main trait and he sees genesis of the dominant qualities of this image in the New Testament and its tradition.
