Abstract
Learning Management System (LMS) become very popular among educators around the world as a tool for creating online dynamic websites for their students. It is a free software package that helps educators to create effective online learning communities. This paper examines such current development in the area of the use of ICT in education. It investigates the LSM in Universiti Utara Malaysia known as the (UUM- learning zone). UUM is one of the profound public universities in Malaysia. In other words it is known as Northern University Malaysia. The paper also digests useful and relevant features of Moodle (modular object oriented digital learning environment) and proffers its relevance for its adoption in Nigerian universities.
