Abstract
Almost every country of this world has accepted this fact that without the participation of women, development of their country is impossible. Despite this fact, in a country like India, there is a significant percentage of women who are full time homemakers in spite of being professionally qualified or professionally skilled. These women are compromising with their professional lives and being depressed after leaving their profession after marriage. They still want to do many things, but they have no way-out. In such a scenario and in the era of digital revolution, they have a ray of hope in the form of social media. Professionally skilled women can use social media for their political, social, psychological and commercial empowerment. With this view, as a first step it is tried to find out in this article that how these professionally skilled women are using social media. Whether they are getting any professional gain or using social media just for entertainment?
