Abstract

Vibrations of plates have a significant role in modern engineering and technology, aircraft technology; naval structure etc. Vibration of plates depends upon its shape, thickness, nature of material, boundary conditions etc. Different types of materials are generally used by the requirement of engineers i.e. isotropic, orthotropic, anisotropic, homogenous, non-homogenous etc. The mainstream of visco- elastic materials are receptive to heat in space technology, highly speed space flights, internal combustion engines, satellites, certain parts of mechanical structures have to man oeuvre under elevated temperatures consequently the state of affairs are thermal sensitive. The present study is a full fleshed endeavor to investigate the vibration responses of orthotropic rectangular plates under the effect of temperature allowing variation in thickness of plate in both directions.
