Abstract
The main intention behind implementation of the Brain Computer Interface (BCI)is to process the brainwaves activity and interpreting brain signals for communicating and controlling the external devices according to intention of the user without using any peripheral nerves and muscles. Advancement of information technology & cognitive neuroscience provide the ability to interface directly with the human brain. The implementation of Brain Computer Interface (BCI)is made possible through use of EEG equipment which used to monitor the activities going on human mind and read signals which process within the brain & perform the desire task correspond with certain action generated by brain in form of thoughts accordingly. This can be interfaced with command controller, analog to digital converter and a computer programmed with software to analyse the digital signals and provide signal analysis to generate commands to build brain computer interface which is a direct communication pathway between human or animal brain and an external device. This brain computer interface does not depend upon the brain’s normal output pathways of sensory organs. The most striking feature of Brain Computer Interface (BCI) is in this system the end user having flexibility to manipulate the surrounding through their intention to produce signals rather using some external nerves movements to control & communicate any target device. To enable unspoken communication to external device via human brain, making emotional computers and monitoring and managing human criticality can be considered as few unique selling proposition of Brain Computer Interface (BCI).
