Abstract
Modern day’s infrastructure demand high strength materials to ensure the durability requirements. Concrete being a versatile material is widely used in construction industry and is the second most used materials other than water. Yet it requires the face left to adhere the regist demand the recent infrastructure industry needs. Bountiful research works ended up in inventing various admixture to enhance the concrete qualities in this work precipitated silica obtained from water tube boilers is added in various proportions such as 0 to 80 percentages by weight. Results show promising effect in the strength and durability characteristics of concrete. Precipitated silica being siliceous materials supports the quality enhancement of concrete.
