Abstract
Growth of Spirulina platensis was observed using five different media consisting of different combinations of single superphosphate in the improvised CFTRI medium in Allahabad under different incubation periods. Dry weight of Spirulina powder and optical density of culture after 15 days of cultivation is greater in Medium II (containing 0.5 gm Single superphosphate) so it can be concluded that Medium II is best for cultivation of Spirulina platensis.
