Abstract
The present investigation on Physico-chemical analysis of different mango cultivars under Tarai region of Uttarakhand was carried out at Horticulture Research Centre, Patharchatta and G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand during the year 2012. The 16 cultivars of mango namely Amrapali, Mallika, Pusa Arunima, Pusa Surya, Ambika, Arunika, Neeleshan, Neeluddin, Neelgoa, Ratna, Swarna Jahangir, Arka Neelkiran, Mahmood Bahar, Pant Sinduri, Dashehari and Langra were evaluated on the basis of, physicochemical parameters. The Cv. Mallika and Neelgoa were found superior in terms of fruit weight, size, pulp weight and pulp stone ratio, while the Cv. Amrapali excelled in terms of total sugar and total carotenoids. As far as ascorbic acid is concerned, it was found maximum in Langra (50.07 mg/ 100g) followed by Pusa Arunima (48.20 mg/100g).
