Abstract
In this paper, special purpose double sampling plan DSP(0,1) is developed assuming that lifetime of the test units follow Compound Rayleigh distribution an d the life test is terminated at a prefixed time. The minimum sample size required for ensuring the specified mean life at specified consumer’s confidence level have been determined. The Operating characteristics values for various quality levels are obtai ned and the results are discussed with the help of tables and examples. The minimum mean ratios are also obtained for a specified level of producer’s risk.
