Kyiv Institute of archaeology in scientific studies

This article provides an overview of publications relating to the activities of the Kyiv Institute of archaeology ? the first specialized educational and research institution in Ukraine that trained professional archaeologists and museum employees. It was established that the majority of works, which in their context the problems of the study of archaeological education in Ukraine late XIX - 20's XX century, no full historiographical review, and available with narrow (mainly archaeological) and cursory in nature and do not include the whole complex of sources on this subject.
