Abstract
Problem setting. The article is devoted to the apportionment of the composites works’ typical signs and to the suggestion its author’s definition. Analysis of resent researches and publications. The following scientists were engaged in research of the specified question: M. Gordon, E. Gavrilov, A. Sergeev, O. Ievinja, B. Antimonov, E. Flejshits and others. Article’s main body. The question of the composites works’ defense in the sphere of the copyright law is a very actual question. The main part of the editions is a result of the composer’s creative work beginning from any dictionary or magazine and ending by any content of the web-sites. Nevertheless the modern legal acts leave these questions open concerning to the composites works. Conclusions and prospects for the development. Such subjects matter of copyright as composite works are studied in this article. Their main features and criteria of legal protection are pointed out. The question of co-relation between elements of writing (composite works) and data bases, and derivative works were addressed. Author’s definition of elements of writing (composite works) was proposed.
