Abstract
Inconel 625 has a wide range of applications because of its high resistance to corrosion cracking, pitting, crevice formation and to a variety of mineral and organic acids along with high thermal fatigue resistance. However conventional machining of Inconel 625 is not so economical and ease, on the other hand non conventional processes like laser cutting, abrasive water jet machining(AWJM), electric discharge machining(EDM), etc have a very good potential in overcoming these machining difficulties. Among these AWJM is commonly employed for very hard and brittle materials due to its economical and technical significance.
