Abstract
Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is one of the earliest non-traditional machining processes. EDM process is based on thermo electric energy between the work piece and an electrode. There are different input parameters which influence on the outputs such as MRR, TWR and SR. Optimization is one of the techniques used in manufacturing sectors to arrive for the best manufacturing conditions, which is an essential nee d for industries towards manufacturing of quality products at lower cost. Also due to difficulty of E DM, it is very complicated to determine optimal cutting parameters for improving cutting performance, which is an important action in machining.
