Abstract
In common stateless autoconfiguration mechanism offers self configuration capabilities for an IPv6 networks. Now a day’s autoconfiguration mechanism being implemented in various kinds of ad hoc network especially in mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). Since mobile ad hoc networks are highly dynamic infrastructure-less wireless networks, where no central administrator. In IPv6 an existing Duplicate Address Detection (DAD) mechanisms not provide an efficient result for large scale mobile ad hoc networks. To address this issue we present a newly designed protocol for increasing the protocol coverage through multihop message. In this paper we propose our recent study on the scalability of our existing duplicate address detection in IPv6. Our proposed protocol reduces flooding overhead by using MPR mechanism during Duplicate Address Detection. Our simulation results shows that our proposed TMRP-NDP scheme provide efficient flooding control for large scale mobile ad hoc networks.
