Abstract
Drilling is an operation done to produce holes in a metal piece by the help of drill. Different types of drilling processes have emerged over the years for different specific requirements so that we can obtain different shape and size of components. The objective of our study was to find the optimum values of control parameters so as to increase surface finish and reduce the chip length and their significance on different conditions. So achieve this objective we adopted GREY BASED TAGUCHI METHOD, which uses L9 Orthogonal Array to carried out the experiments. And then findings S/N ratios, Normalized S/N ratios, Grey relational Coefficient and Grey relational Grade which is 0.82569 and % contribution of drill speed, lubrication and shank angle is 12.32,7.49 and 13.53 respectively.
