Abstract
OFDM is indeed very robust in terms of delay spread and inter symbol interference . OFDM uses the cyclic prefix for which OFDM has to sacrifice some transmission rate. This decreases the spectral efficiency, but if the same performance can be achieved without taking cyclic prefix, the information capacity can be improved . I n this paper, HCM is implemented in OFDM based RoF systems for the calculation of channel capacity and MMSE estimation for analysing the performance parameter of hadamard coded modulation system . The channel capacity has been estimated using water filling algorithm. The algorithm maximizes the overall bit rate for frequency selective channels used in optical links. T he estimation of channel capacity for an optical system is implemented for RoF networks . The performance of DWT - HCM and OFDM has been analysed and compared
