EDUCATION AND PEACE BUILDING TOWARDS POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE NIGER DELTA REGION OF NIGERIA

Abstract
This study was carried out to investigate whether Education has made impact on peace building towards political development in Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The questions were raised as a guide in the investigation. 3000 samples subjects were selected for this study using random sampling technique. Data were gathered from the sample which was subjected to treatment and analysis through the use of percentage statistic. Findings were made and they revealed that Education has not made any significant impact on the people in the Niger Delta area as well as that Theater for Development can provide grounds for pursuit of political development in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Thus, conclusion was reached that education has not made impact in the Niger Delta region. The recommendations were profiled accordingly.
