CELLULAR COMMUNICATION BASED REMOTE PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE SYSTEM FOR POWER TRANSFORMERS

The Insulating Paper and Pressboards are used to insulate the windings of transformer. These are mostly made from a Cellulose material. It must have a high tensile and dielectric strength. Over the era the insulators have slowly degraded due to ageing, high temperature and chemical reaction such as oxidation, pyrolysis and hydrolysis. They are degraded to a point, and now there is no extensively effective insulator. Mainly two parameters are affecting on life of insulator and that is load current and ambient temperature.
