Abstract

Protection is the most significant area of power system indeed. For single phase LT consumers, electromechanical B ? Type MCB is available nowadays. Many significant workouts on various breakers have been found with excellent features like VCB, SF6 and so on. In the present paper a brief discussion is made on protection against over current scenario due to low fault impedance. The purpose of this breaker is to provide fast protection to the most expensive house hold electrical loads by introducing Mamdani FIS based Artificial Intelligent (AI) breaker. Supporting hardware system using Arduino on Breadboard by incorporating AT mega 328 ? PU has been developed here to implement the concept practically. Experimental output data from the hardware circuit validate s the theoretical approach of Mamdani FIS based AI Breaker and this ensures better and reliable protection to expensive household electrical loads.
