Abstract
Red mud from Bayer’s Process and Granite slurry as granite polishing waste was replaced as cement/binder/filler whereas bagasse ash was replaced as sand (fine aggregate). Compressive strength was analyzed for the cubes. Density of concrete and modulus of elasticity was also calculated. Red mud upto 10%, granite slurry upto 2 0% and bagasse ash upto 5% can be replaced in individual waste replaced concrete cubes without reduction in their compressive strength. Red Mud an industrial waste from bauxite ore processing contains some heavy metals which are hazardous in nature. Heavy Metals Leachability was also analyze d to check the leachability of red mud.
