Abstract
The results of the study showed that private banks are on rapid growth path. The profit generation with respect to its human resource was highest in foreign banks followed by Indian private banks. However, during recent years remarkable developments in different performance indicators (total deposits, profits, investments and advances) has been registered, which indicates that Indian private banks are on higher growth rates as compared to foreign banks in India.
