EDUCATION IN FUNCTION OF REDUCING HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT IN SERBIA

In Serbia is needed a change of priorities of economic and social policies that increase employment and improve its quality set as a central objective of economic development. The new model of economic growth and development will require more efficient education system and increasing knowledge and skills of the workforce, especially those who are just entering the labor market. As implementation of the new model to be successful, the higher the risk that the educational system, with its own relatively the slow pace of adjustment, turns into a bottleneck. Education the policy should be based on realistic and real needs of the economy and active labor market measures and the creation of effective employment programs to help reduce the high rate of youth unemployment.
