Abstract

Sextus Pompeius who was a important figure in last period of Roman Republic, commites principal part of our performance and dialogue between Pompeius and buccaneer Menas, we can read this dialogue from “Marcus Antonius” named trace has written by Plutarch composes the source of our study. When Pompeius, Octavianus and Marcus Antonius were at meal in the ship of Pompeius and at the time of endeament has been reach the peak Menas comes near to Pompeius and whispers to his ear: “Shall I cut the ropes, I will make you master, not of Sicily and Sardinia, but of the whole Roman Empire?” The answer of Sextus Pompeius is this: “Menas, you ought to have done this without speaking to me about it beforehand; but now let us be satisfied with things as they are; because I don’t breach of promise.” At this action which has been lived nearby the end of republic (BC.39) what could be or not be if Pompeius has been cut the ropes? We tried to find answers of these questions by the help our imagination and not attach to the limits.
